Uzumaki Naruto (Sexy no Jutsu ver.) from "Naruto"

Cosplayer : Hannah-Marie Hatter
Character : Uzumaki Naruto (Sexy no Jutsu ver.) from "Naruto"

Comments: I made the entire costume myself and one of my friends took this photo using my camera. I really love this costume so much and I really hope I pulled off the cuteness of SNJ Naruto! This was such a fun cosplay to do!

Alexiel from "Angel Sanctuary"

Cosplayer : Lada Bordewick a.k.a. Etaru
Character : Alexiel from "Angel Sanctuary"

Comments: This is my favorite costume I've made to date, and the most challenging - but fun to wear! I made the entire thing over the span of 3 months, hand trimming over 800 feathers for the wings, patterning my own dress design and sewing it out of peach skin, and designing a corset to fit a wooden back-plate to hold the weight of the wings. It was a lot of firsts, but I'm so incredibly proud of the result!

Yuna from "Final Fantasy X"

Name: Sarah Bloom
Character: Yuna from "Final Fantasy X"

Comments: This costume is probably one of my favorite to date, so much love and time went into making it possible. It was also a learning experience, I ended up learning a lot of different techniques to bring this costume to life.

Rikku from "Final Fantasy X-2"

Cosplayer: Stevie Klinginsmith
Character: Rikku from "Final Fantasy X-2"

Comments: Rikku was always one of my dream cosplays, so this is one of my most treasured cosplays. This cosplay was hand made by me, the only thing I did not make myself was the wig. This was also my first time making weapon props, which I crafted using pvc pipe and styrene.

Toph Bei Fong from "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

Cosplayer : Britt Janiszewski (makeshiftwings)
Character : Toph Bei Fong from "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

Comments : The entire costume was made by myself. The shirt and pants are made out of a linen, while the apron is a twill. The accessories are leather, with the exception of the headband, which is Wonderflex. The bun was made out of upholstery foam, covered in loose extensions, and then sewn onto a short base wig.

Esther Blanchett from "Trinity Blood"

Cosplayer : Karen Lyon
Character : Esther Blanchett from "Trinity Blood"

Comments: The dress and wimple are made of velveteen and are fully lined, and the under-skirt designs were hand-painted on using a paint brush for most of the designs, and a paint-marker for the thinner lines. The metal pieces are craft foam, model magic and wonderflex, spray painted and antiqued. I painted the designs on the boots with 3-D fabric paint to match the designs from the artbook image. All of the snaps along the front of the dress are functional, and it actually snaps on and off. This costume took 6 months to complete.

Sally Jupiter from "The Watchmen"

Cosplayer : Fire Lily
Character : Sally Jupiter from "The Watchmen"

Comments : I used an antique yellow silk chiffon for the dress and luster satin for the waist cincher, collar, wristlet, and corset. The wig is an Angela 750 in Auburn, and was styled using hair rats that I made of felt, bobby pins, and hairspray. Overall, I love this costume. It is very comfortable to wear, despite the five inch heels and corset and I just love how it makes me feel - very old world glam.

Rydia of the Mist from "Final Fantasy IV " (Nintendo DS version)

Cosplayer : Dessi-Desu
Character : Rydia of the Mist from "Final Fantasy IV " (Nintendo DS version)

Comments: This costume required quite a bit of dying, in order to achieve a green I was happy with. The sleeves, body suit, and skirt are all dyed. This costume also features some hand painted details. For the stars and the pattern on the main part of the costume, I created stencils and touched up areas as needed. For the pattern around the opening of the sleeves I simple free handed it. I also chose to enhance the pattern on the bodysuit and skirt with some beading. The wig is a heat resistant wig that I cut and layered myself, After it was cut, I used a flat iron on a low setting to achieve Rydia's flipped edgy hairstyle. As for the small headpiece, I sculpted it out of clay, which was then used to create a mold, so that I could cast it out of resin. Overall, I love this costume so much, despite it being high maintenance to wear, because I adore the character and her costume has such a whimsical look.

American McGee's Alice

Cosplayer : April Buyer AKA Vash_Fanatic
Character : American McGee's Alice

Comments: I love...this game. I love Alice...and you get the idea! Costume made by me! The best part about it was the blood spatter on the apron. I took special care in making the bottom of the dress look dingy and dirty. Wore this costume for a photo shoot at an abandon oil refinery. Photo taken by Kenji Ono! Thank you :) Enjoy. PS: Can't wait for Madness Returns!
